Ajay Batra - President and CEO
While working at Cheniere during the LNG regasification and Liquefaction projects, Ajay acquired the depth and breadth of LNG industry expertise as he served in commercial deal structuring, origination, business operations, and risk management roles. In December 2016, he was presented with an opportunity to co- found Redwood Markets. Redwood’s mission and vision aligned well with Ajay’s pursuit for developing risk management solutions for the LNG industry and he saw this as a perfect opportunity to leverage his industry knowledge and contacts in order to develop solutions to transform a bilateral illiquid market into an efficient commodity market .
Richard Pratt - Vice-President, Shipping
Richard has an extensive background in energy markets across the value chain. Richard’s deep experience in shipping fixtures and logistics of maritime energy trade led to his seeking out the nexus between the trading of LNG as a commodity and the underlying complexities of seaborne freight markets. Richard brings this depth of knowledge to Redwood as a product design expert and idea generator for new ways to solve complex logistics problems.
Dan Zastawny - Senior Vice-President
With his deep experience and background in the pioneer era of electronic energy trading in North America, Dan has always sought the next new market development challenge. Dan draws on his nearly 25 years of direct experience in developing seven prior trading platforms for commodity markets and making targeted adaptions to address the market’s stage of evolution and planned trajectory. Dan also relies on an extensive background including product design, marketing, contracting, legal and regulatory to help guide Redwood Markets toward its objectives.
